OUR PURPOSE

YANURUNI is a local, Tanzanian foundation primarily dedicated to improving the health of Tanzanian mothers and children during maternity (pregnancy, birth and postpartum). We emphasize holistic, respectful care that considers the psychological well-being and social welfare of expectant mothers and families.

We dream of a Tanzania where women, mothers and children have access to high-quality, dignified healthcare regardless of their origin, religion, social and economic status. Healthcare that is geared towards people's physical, emotional and mental well-being.

 

Our mission

 

• We offer mothers and children living in precarious financial and social circumstances high-quality, affordable, respectful and dignified healthcare during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
• We strengthen the emotional, economic and social well-being of women. We take concrete measures to help women in precarious situations. We encourage them to exercise their rights as women. We are committed to improving the position of women in Tanzanian society. We concentrate our activities on areas of the country that are extremely underserved in this respect. We are committed to helping women to help themselves
